Hypnosis is a natural state of altered awareness when the subconscious mind is more open and receptive to suggestions. We all drift in and out of different levels of awareness many times a day. For example daydreaming, taking a familiar route home or enjoying your favourite music. Your first consultation can take an hour and a half. A holistic assessment/fact finding session will take place and what you hope to achieve with hypnosis & other relaxation techniques will be explored and clarified. A short hypnosis experience will then take place, if you wish. Learning to relax and being motivated to make changes to achieve your goals is then supported in subsequent sessions and personalised recordings. By relaxing, thinking positively and picturing your goals, hypnosis can help you to progressively adjust habitual feelings and behaviours. During hypnosis you remain aware of what’s going on around you and will be able to stop the session at any point should you want to.
